Moving Plants Across the California State Line

If you want to bring plants into San Luis Obispo, CA from other CA counties or from out-of-state, to trade with CRFG friends, please contact your local County Department of Agriculture or State Department of Agriculture to see what the requirements are.
If you want to take plants OUT-OF-STATE (free, purchased, won or traded), you can get them properly certified with a Certificate of Quarantine Compliance from our County Inspector/Biologists. This should prevent any problems when you take plants acquired at FOF across the state border into your home state.
Remember, “Don’t Pack a Pest“!
